Work Opportunities
Teaching Assistantships
All incoming graduate students can apply for TA positions in late June-mid July. Hiring decisions will be available in mid-August. TA positions are available on a competitive basis; for the best chance of receiving a position, please apply to all the positions you believe you are qualified for. TA positions are paid at the CUPE 3902 Unit 1 rate ($51.93/hr).
Work Study
The Work Study Program offers paid, on-campus positions that provide you with an opportunity to deepen your knowledge, strengthen your skills and explore how your academic studies translate to career possibilities. Most work-study jobs provide practical experience related to the student's program of study. The Work Study program is open to both full-time and part-time undergraduate students (i.e. domestic and international students) and graduate students.
Students do not need to be OSAP eligible to apply for Work Study. Refer to the university's Financial Aid page for more details.
Work Study positions are usually posted on the Career Learning Network website after the first week of August. Positions for the summer are usually posted mid-April.
Library Student Jobs
Work in one of the 25 participating libraries on the St. George campus, including the Music Library and Robarts Research Library. More information about vacancies and the application process is available on the U of T Library website.
Gigs
Be sure to look at the Performance Office SharePoint page for performance opportunities.
Requests for student musicians for events within the University and outside are also available through the Music Booking Office.
